Let’s answer your questions:

  • Kinstretch is defined as “a movement enhancement system that develops maximal body control, flexibility, and usable ranges of motion”.

Click and watch the video above for a visual!

Here is a full blog explaining what Kinstretch is in detail.

  • There will be one class per week for 8 weeks starting on October 31st.

Classes will be held on Thursdays from 5:30pm-6:30pm weekly.

When you sign up you automatically have a reserved your spot in all classes for the full 8 weeks!

The 8 week cycle will include one assessment focused class with multiple physiotherapists present to help to establish a baseline of your current mobility, range of motion, joint health, strength, and so on.

This will be followed by 7 classes with one or more physiotherapist present to help to improve that baseline!

If you’d prefer a morning (before work) Kinstretch class, make sure to check out the Kinstretch & Coffee section at the bottom of this page!

  • Classes will be held in the NEW Kinstretch studio at Longevity Physical Therapy!

Address: 1224 Ontario Avenue, Saskatoon, SK S7K 1S5

  • Each Kinstretch class will be led by Nick Allard and/or Alex Murphy.

Nick Allard will be the main instructor for the 5:30-6:30pm class on Thursdays.

Both Nick and Alex are physical therapists, Functional Range Conditioning Mobility Specialists, and Kinstretch instructors.

  • GOOD NEWS!

Those enrolled in the 8 week cycle currently have the option of being able to submit your Kinstretch class receipts for reimbursement under your physiotherapy insurance!

There are some important things you need to keep in mind for this:

    1. Everyone’s insurance policies are different. We recommend checking with your insurance provider(s) to determine if you have any unique applicable limitations or maximums.

    2. This is something that we are currently trying and does require some effort on both the part of the physiotherapist and the client in order to meet the regulations required for insurance reimbursement to be possible for you.

    3. Receipts will be sent out weekly after that week’s class.

Please note that drop in classes are not eligible for reimbursement as a drop in class does not meet the necessary requirements for insurance companies.

  • We have two FREE parking lots.

The first parking lot is immediately in front of the Longevity Physical Therapy entrance.

Here you will find stalls reserved for Longevity Physical Therapy as well as non-posted stalls. You are welcome to park in both the Longevity Physical Therapy stalls or in any of the non-posted stalls!

The second free parking lot immediately behind the facility. All stalls in this parking lot are available to you as well!

There is also plenty of free 2hr street parking on the street right in front of the facility.

  • A few goals of Kinstretch include offering you tools to both improve your body’s individual parts (joints) and to improve how well they work together.

Your joints make any movement that you do in any sport possible. Training to build better functioning joints that you can move/control through space then makes you more efficient and resilient when partaking in any activities or sports that involve those joints.

By improving your mobility you increase the access that you have to your body’s true range of motion. This also means access to more muscle that you can train, grow, and use in your other sports and activities.

You’re effectively upgrading your body’s machinery, giving it access to more machinery to use during life/sports/activities, AND teaching your body how to use it.

  • Not at all!

Anyone with any level of experience can join at any time and you do not need to be an athlete!

It is our job as physiotherapists and instructor’s to be prepared how to modify things in a way that allows EVERYONE to get benefit out of the classes! And, this is a big part of what makes teaching classes fun!

  • Kinstretch and Yoga are actually each very different practices!

While the best way to understand the differences between the two is experiencing a class, here is a blog discussing the similarities and differences if you want to learn more!

  • Don’t sweat it! Just let us know if you need to miss!

While classes are non-refundable, we have an exclusive online area that those who are signed up for the 8 week cycle will get exclusive access to.

Within this area you’ll find an on-demand online Kinstretch class that you can follow along with from home any time you want in case you miss any classes!

You can take full advantage of this class and do it as many times as you want!

Please note that we cannot speak to whether or not your insurance company will reimburse you for classes that you do not attend as this varies by the policy. We recommend that you contact your insurance provider for information.

We require 48hrs notice for cancellations of all drop in classes.

  • The price or investment for each 8 week cycle is $240 for 8 weeks ($30 per class) and this can be submitted to your insurance provider for reimbursement as discussed above.

Prepayment is required before the class cycle begins.

Receipts will be sent out weekly after that week’s class.

Drop ins (spaces are very limited) are $30 +GST per class.

  • Payment for any classes booked will be collected using your credit card shortly after booking.

This charge will show up on your statement within 1-10 business days depending on your bank and a receipt will be sent to your email.

If you prefer to pay via e-transfer just let us know when you sign up!

If you are in the 8 week cycle you will be able to submit your receipt to your insurance company for reimbursement. We cannot direct bill insurance companies for drop in classes.

  • We are running this 8 week cycle for now and will re-evaluate to determine if we have the availability to offer it again in the future!

If this is something you’re interested in then feel free to take advantage of it while it is available!

  • Yes, however the number of drop in spots are very limited!

Those who sign up for the full 8 weeks will have a reserved spot in every class. The number of drop in spots available will vary.

We recommend signing up well in advance if you are hoping to secure a drop in spot!

Drop ins are $30 +GST per class.

We do require 48hrs notice for cancellations for all drop in bookings as spaces are very limited!

  • We provide everyone with extra long and extra thick mats for the classes. All you need to bring is some water to stay hydrated!
